I think the soil would've been happily soaking up as much moisture as possible too given the unseasonably warm Autumn we had. Where we live, we are very blessed to have forest just out our front door and our closest walking track takes us all the way to our little local shops. We can walk or ride our bikes there and back! Thanks for stopping by! Rainy days are wonderful for cooking and baking. I've got some silverside simmering away in my big soup pot with apple cider vinegar, coconut sugar, mustard, onions and carrots. Dinner tonight will be sandwich fare tomorrow and fritters too at some stage. Delicious! I hope you have a wonderful weekend too. As a teenager I lived in the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane and I used to love walking around after a rain event such as this to see the creeks rushing.Sherrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16322236537807536688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625835970797307834.post-58288502326397297222016-06-04T12:58:18.313+10:002016-06-04T12:58:18.313+10:00Hi Meg, as I type it has stopped raining here, and...Hi Meg, as I type it has stopped raining here, and in fact the sky is lightening up, so maybe that's it for this "weather event" no damage here and no flooding as far as we know. Today I have been cooking up a storm, I cleaned out the freezer of bits and bobs. Either already made or in the making are- rice pudding, blueberry jam, pancake mix made from whey for Sunday breakfast , Fiona Chainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03982181165314399167noreply@blogger.com
